Shaw Media was the television subsidiary of Canadian media company Shaw Communications, created in 2010. It was formed after the bankruptcy of CanWest, when Shaw acquired its broadcasting assets. In 2016, Corus Entertainment acquired Shaw Media for $2.65 billion.

1st Logo (2010-2013)

Nickname: "The Shaw Crescent"

Logo: Many colored glass arcs pass the screen and leave the word "SHAW", which immediately re-appears zoomed out and makes a blue arc with "'MEDIA" behind it. There may be "PRODUCED IN ASSOCIATION WITH" above.

Variant: A still version exists.

FX/SFX: The arcs of light passing by.

Music/Sounds: The ending theme from the show.

Availability: Seen on newest shows, including these previously produced by CanWest Global Networks. One of them is XIII.

Editor's Note: None.

2nd Logo (2012-2016)

Nickname: "The Shaw Crescent II"

Logo: On a blue background, a white crescent zooms out, flashes, and "Shaw" in a new font comes out the side.

FX/SFX: The zooming, the flashing.

Music/Sounds: The ending theme from the show.

Availability: Seen on newer shows, such as Vikings. After Corus Entertainment acquired Shaw Media, this logo was retired and replaced by individual logos for the former Shaw Media channels (including the Global Original logo).
