Background

This is the production company of Jason Katims. It was originally called Jason Katims Productions. The company name comes from Katims' beloved family dog, Jack.

Logo: We see old footage of a table with work papers, a cup of coffee, and a napkin saying "JASoN KAtiMs PRoDuctioNS". There are two hands (most likely those of Katims himself), one of them is holding a pen and tapping it on the table. The left hand, which is holding the pen, draws a straight line on the napkin between Katims' name and "PRoDuctioNS".

Trivia: Judging from the lighting, the logo looks like it takes place during the early morning.

Variants:

  • The logo would come in either the standard 4:3 version (seen on full-screen prints) or the widescreen 16:9 version.
  • On 4:3 prints of early season 1 episodes of Roswell, the logo is videotaped.

FX/SFX: Live-action with an old film effect.

Music/Sounds: A short violin ditty combined with tapping and drawing sounds, sometimes shortened. When The WB (now the CW) aired Roswell, the generic network jingle/announcements plays over it.

Logo: On a background of rolling green grass and a cloudy blue sky, we see a long-haired brown dog (likely that of Katims' dog Jack) glancing to the left as he then turns to face us. Over the dog's head are the stacked words "TRUE JACK PRODUCTIONS" with a dark gradient going underneath it below.

FX/SFX: It's all live-action.

Music/Sounds: A four-note calypso-like chime sound ending with two squeak sounds.

Availability: Seen on the first four seasons of Parenthood (the 2010 series).
