Background

Bunim/Murray Productions was founded by Jonathan Murray and the late Mary-Ellis Bunim. In March 2010 it was acquired by the Banijay Group.

1st Logo (1991-2003)

Logo: On a black marble background, we see a gold plate reading "BUNIM/MURRAY PRODUCTIONS". The logo shines.

FX/SFX: The shining.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Seen on The Real World, Making The Band, and likely seen on American Families.

Editor's Note: None.

2nd Logo (September 8, 2003-2012)

Logo: Over a sky background with clouds moving quickly, we see this gold slash zoom out, then the text reading:

BUNIM/MURRAY
P R O D U C T I O N S

Variants:

  • A short version exists.
  • On later episodes of The Bad Girls Club, the logo flashes into the Banijay Entertainment logo.

FX/SFX: The zooming out of the slash, the clouds moving briefly on the background.

Music/Sounds: A 4-note fanfare, sometimes shorter.

Music/Sounds Variants:

  • Sometimes, a whoosh sound is heard.
  • In 2011, a different jingle is used.

Availability: It was seen on later seasons of The Real World on MTV, the E! reality shows The Simple Life, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, and Living Lohan, and the Oxygen reality show The Bad Girls Club.

Editor's Note: A nice logo, although the fanfare may catch some off-guard.

3rd Logo (October 9, 2011-)

Logo: On a white background, we see the current Banijay logo in dark blue zooming in and the name following it, fading in the process. There is a Banijay Group byline below.

Variants:

  • A long version exists where the line writes the Banijay logo.
  • In 2017, the logo was enhanced for 3D, with the new Banijay byline which reads "We are Banijay".

FX/SFX: The logo zooms out.

Music/Sounds: An electronic screech sound.

Music/Sounds Variants:

  • On the two-part Keeping Up With The Kardashians special "Kim's Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event", the previous logo's music is heard.
  • A long version starts with a strange bass noise with sparkling sounds.

Availability: Currently on season 10 of Project Runway and Project Runway: All Stars.

Editor's Note: None.
